BENGALURU: A model, Dhruv Naik (23), was allegedly assaulted by a staffer of Sea Bird Travels, a private bus company, in the Majestic area. The incident occurred when Dhruv, who had just arrived in Bengaluru from Thailand after a modeling show, was waiting for his bus to Hubballi.
Two of Dhruv’s friends were already inside the bus while he was smoking a cigarette outside the bus with another friend. A staffer of the bus company allegedly hit him on the hand and asked him to get in saying the bus was about to leave.
As per the complaint, the staff locked Dhruv’s friends inside the bus and then allegedly assaulted him with a wooden stick, causing injuries to his head, back and other parts of his body. They also allegedly stole valuable items that Dhruv had brought from Thailand.
Despite an FIR being filed, Dhruv claimed that the Upparpet police have not yet arrested the Sea Bird staff involved in the assault. Due to the injuries on his face, Dhruv has been excluded from a modeling show in Hubballi.
