Major fire breaks out at Jigani factory, no casualties

There were no casualties in the fire.

BENGALURU: A massive fire broke out at Jupiter Technologies factory at Jigani Industrial Area in Anekal taluk, around 4 am on Thursday. No casualties were reported, but the fire has caused losses to the tune of crores of rupees.

The three-storey factory was engulfed in flames, and fire tenders from eight stations, including Electronics City, Anekal, and Jayanagar, responded to the emergency. The fire was brought under control after a 4-hour operation by the Fire and Emergency Services personnel.

The factory manufactures bottle stickers, labels and holograms used on liquor bottles. The Jigani police have visited the scene, and the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined. District Fire Officer Siddesh stated that the factory had not taken adequate fire safety precautions, but fortunately, no one was injured or killed in the incident.
