CHIKKABALLAPUR: A major fire broke out at a government office on the day of Ugadi festival; turning important documents into ashes. The fire occurred at the office of the assistant director of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services Department.
Documents stored in a room caught fire and all the records were destroyed. The fire broke out at night and engulfed the office, and the staff discovered the damage on Sunday morning.
Firefighters arrived and successfully extinguished the remaining flames. The cause of the fire is suspected to be arson. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Chikkaballapur City police station.
