Lokayukta police raid officials in different parts of state

BENGALURU: The Lokayukta police conducted raids on officials in different parts of the state, including Bengaluru, on Thursday in connection in connection with illegal assets and corruption cases.

In Bengaluru, BWSSB Assistant Executive Engineer Srinivas Murthy was raided, while in Kolar, the Lokayukta police raided Survey Supervisor Suresh Babu. Taluk Health Officer Venkatappa Naik was raided in Yadgir while Assistant Engineer (UGD) B Ravi was raided in Davanagere.

Ravi’s house in Chitradurga was searched.

In Davanagere, Ravi’s office near Bakkeshwara Schook in Nigalingappa Layout and his mother’s house at Shivakumara Swamy Layout were raided. His house on the Old Bengaluru Road in Chitradurga was also searched.

Six locations linked to Suresh Babu were searched in Kolar district.

In Kolar, the Lokayukta police searched six locations linked to Suresh Babu, including his house, office, and the houses of his siblings and friends. Just six months ago, Suresh Babu had been raided and cash, documents related to government properties and other papers had been found.
