BENGALURU: The Lokayukta police on Thursday raided several officials across the state in connection with disproportionate assets cases. The raids were conducted at 12 locations including two in Bengaluru.
The Lokayukta police raided the residence and office of T V Murali, additional director of urban and rural planning, and H R Nataraj in Bengaluru and Bengaluru Rural district. They also raided the house and taluk office of second division assistant Ananth at Bodhanahalli village in Hoskote taluk.
In Vijayapura, the Lokayukta police raided the houses of Ambedkar Corporation MD Renuka Satarle on Vijayanagar Ring Road and an apartment in Sollapur. She had been suspended by the corporation and is facing an internal inquiry. Renuka had also been MD of Valmiki Corporation, Adi Jambava Corporation among others.
The tahsildar of Shahpur in Yadgir district, Umakanth Halle was also among those raided. The Lokayukta police conducted searches at his house at Akka Mahadevi Layout Kalaburagi and office in Shahpur.
In Mangaluru, Survey supervisor Manjunath’s three-storey house at Baije was raided. Manjunath hails from Tumakuru and has been working in Dakshina Kannada district for the last 23 years.
In Tumakuru, the Lokayukta police raided the residence of Nirmiti Kendra MD Rajashekar at Saptagiri Layout and his brother’s house at SS Puram.
