The Lokayukta police in Mysuru questioned Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's wife for about three hours on Friday.

MYSURU: The Lokayukta police, who are investigating the MUDA site allotment case in which Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife B M Parvathi is named as the second accused, on Friday questioned her for three hours at an undisclosed location.

On Thursday, Mysuru Lokayukta Police Superintendent T J Udesh had a notice to Parvathi to appear for questioning. However, except for the investigating officer, none of the other officers had any information about Parvathi’s questioning, giving rise to doubts whether there was any instruction to maintain secrecy.

According to sources, Parvathi was questioned about how many times she had given representations to MUDA seeking compensation and whether she had sought sites at a particular location. To this, Parvathi responded saying that she had given five representations and denied demanding sites at any particular location, but only seeking compensation.

To a question whether there was any interference from her husband or son, both of whom are political leaders, she replied that she had got the Kesare land as gift from her parental family and there was no need for the intervention of either her husband or son and that she only wanted justice.

The land in Kesare which was acquired by MUDA.

On the use of whitner on one of the documents, Parvathi reportedly said she had used it herself to make a correction but had forgotten what the sentence was. On why her signatures varied on different occasions, she replied that she does signs on documents rarely and hence, there were differences. She also claimed that she had visited the Kesare land 3-4 years after her brother gifted it to her and not earlier.
