MYSURU: The Karnataka Lokayukta has issued notices to 18 officials of the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) over a complaint that its land was given away to influential persons as sites.
The notices have been issued to officials who worked in various capacities in 2017, including the then superintendent engineer and secretary.
A complaint had been lodged with the Lokayukta in 2017 by RTI activist Gangaraju and the Lokayukta registered the case in 2022 after securing sanction for prosecution.
It is alleged that 7.18 acres of land on Survey No. 89 in Hinkal was distributed as sites to over 350 influential persons.
