BENGALURU: In fresh trouble for Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, the Karnataka Lokayukta has issued him a notice seeking his annual income tax details.
Lokayukta Deputy SP Satish has issued a second notice to Shivakumar seeking details such as his income tax payments so far, and his annual income before he became an elected representative and the wealth he gained after becoming an elected representative.
Meanwhile, a special court heard the CBI’s plea on withdrawal of permission to probe the assets case and handing it over to the Lokayukta. Arguing for the central agency, Special Public Prosecutor Prasanna Kumar said the state government was planning to close the illegal assets case.
