VIJAYAPURA: A serving Lokayuka Deputy Superintendent of Police died after suffering a heart attack while playing badminton here on Wednesday evening.
Deputy SP Arun Naik was playing badminton with some of his friends at the district indoor stadium when he suddenly suffered a heart attack. He was immediately shifted to a private hospital, but he did not respond to treatment and died later in the night.
Arun Naik’s wife stays with their son in Bengaluru and they were heading to Vijayapura on getting information about his death. Meanwhile, Lokayukta officials and other paid their last respects to the Deputy SP at the hospital.
