CHAMARAJANAGAR: A leopard died after being attacked by a porcupine while hunting it, at Ranganabetta in Gundlupet taluk. The porcupine’s quills pierced the leopard’s chest, causing severe internal bleeding, leading to its death.
The incident occurred in the Bandipur tiger reserve. The leopard, which was hungry, attacked the porcupine, but the porcupine defended itself with its quills, which penetrated the leopard’s chest and reached its heart.
