KARWAR: With heavy rain lashing Uttara Kannada district, a section of National Highway-206 was blocked after a major landslide on Wednesday night.
The landslide occurred on the Honnavar-Sagar-Bengaluru section and affected movement of heavy vehicles like buses and trucks. Only one part of the road was useable by two-wheelers.
Huge rocks had fallen on to the road near Bhaskeri and the authorities concerned were taking steps to clear the blockade.
