BENGALURU: Two people, including a house owner, are fighting for their lives due to a tenant’s negligence. The incident occurred in a three-story building where a gas cylinder exploded, severely injuring the landlady Poornima (36) and another tenant, Venkatesh (26), who had got married seven months ago.

The explosion occurred when the landlord and Venkatesh were inspecting the third floor after noticing a gas leak and switched on a light bulb. The gas leak was reportedly caused by the negligence of another tenant, Naveen, who had ignored previous instances of gas leaks.

Poornima and Venkatesh are currently undergoing treatment at Victoria Hospital with severe burns. The victims are now fighting for their lives, while the other tenant’s negligence has put their lives at risk.
