CHIKKODI: A worker died after getting trapped in the conveyer belt at the Hiranyakeshi Cooperative Sugar Factory in Sankeshwar town. The deceased Sachin Basappa Dyamanni (36), from Amminabhavi village in Hukkeri taluk, was a daily wage worker at the factory.
Sachin fell into the crushing belt while applying lime and was killed instantly. He had joined the factory just 10 days ago. The Sankeshwar police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
