KALABURAGI, HUBBALLI: Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar on Saturday lashed out at Janata Dal (Secular) leader H D Kumaraswamy over the latter’s allegations of corruption in official transfers, saying that if he has evidence, he should file a complaint with the Lokayukta police. Meanwhile, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi backed Kumaraswamy’s charges saying that he too had received complaints of corruption from officials.
Speaking to media persons on his arrival at the Kalaburagi airport, Shivakumar said, “I have seen a lot of Kumaraswamy’s ‘bombs’. First, let him lodge a complaint. I have worked under him and, as a younger brother, I know about the older brother. Kumaraswamy is frustrated, he is under pressure. He is free to bat without a ball”, he said. “I have been keeping quiet, but if I have to talk, I will”, he added.
He also said that 1.42 crore families have registered for the Gruha Jyothi scheme and the Gruha Lakshmi scheme will be launched on August 20, the birth anniversary of former PM Rajiv Gandhi.
Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, who arrived in Hubballi, backed Kumaraswamy’s claims on corruption in transfers. “There is a lot of corruption going on in transfer of officials”, he noted.
Prahlad Joshi said some officials in Dharwad have called him on phone and some even met him in Delhi and spoke about the corruption in transfers. “Posts are being auctioned. Whatever allegations the Congress had made against the BJP, 10 time more corruption is happening under the current dispensation”, he said.
