BENGALURU: Deputy Chief Minister DvK Shivakumar on Sunday criticised JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy saying that he does not know the pain of the poor and women. “They are happily celebrating the festival. Those who had come for Dasara would know if they had seen them”, he remarked.
Shivakumar extended Deepavali wishes to the people of Karnataka. Later, he rebutted Kumaraswamy’s allegation about the guarantee schemes.
“What is Kumaraswamy’s connection to or guarantees? What does he know about our guarantee schemes? Are they the beneficiaries? His Pancharatna plan could not be implemented. There are only 5 per cent issues in the Gruha Lakshmi scheme. He should ask whether it has reached the voters or not. I myself spoke to Channapatna voters. If Kumaraswamy asked the beneficiaries, he would come to know”, the Deputy CM lashed out at Kumaraswamy for criticising the Congress guarantee schemes.
“Let him speak whatever he wants to. Poor people are now happily celebrating the festival. Kumaraswamy is in a hurry and that is why he is talking about Congress ministers”, he said.
“We have made six promises in the Telangana elections. This time, Congress should be empowered and the people of Telangana have made up their munds. December 9 is the day Telangana state was formed and it was Sonia Gandhi who pushed for formation of the state. The Congress government will come to power soon”, Shivakumar said.
Responding to Kumaraswamy’s allegation that the High Command has put the CM on notice, he questioned, “What is the relationship between Congress and Kumaraswamy? The people of the state have blessed the Congress government. The High Command made a one-line resolution. The high command has chosen the CM. We will follow the High Command’s decision”, he added.
