CHAMARAJANAGAR: The Kuderu police station in the district has been adjudged the best in the state and is ranked No. 5 in the country for the year 2023 in a survey conducted by the Union Home ministry.
Of the 2,223 police stations in the state, Kuderu was adjudged the best for public interaction, solving crimes, good quality facilities, public perception of the police among other yardsticks. The police station was recognised for filing chargesheets quickly, ensuring punishment for the guilty and cracking down on gambling and excise offences.
Chamarajanagar Superintendent of Police Padmini Sahoo said, “The criteria for choosing the best police station include crime prevention, physical infrastructure and citizens’ feedback. In 2023, three police stations from the state were nominated”.
