KSTDC to run double-decker buses in Mysuru for Dasara sightseeing

BENGALURU: Dasara preparations are already in full swing in Mysuru. Ahead of 10-day celebration, the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) plans to give a unique experience for tourists, travelling on the iconic double decker bus during the Dasara event.

KSTDC shared a post on ‘X’ about the special bus and wrote, “A royal ride to explore the glory and the cultural legacy of the iconic festival Mysuru Dasara with Ambari Double Decker Bus”.

The bus route covers popular destinations, including the Old DC Office,  Crawford Hall, Oriental Research Institute, Ramaswamy Circle, Sanskrit Parhashala, Palace South Gate, Jayamarthanda Circle Gate, Hardinge Circle, KR Circle, Sayyaji Rao Road and Ayurveda Medical College.

Ticket prices are Rs 250 for lower deck and Rs 500 for upper deck.

Additionally, the state tourism department has introduced special packages for tourists visiting Mysuru, including day-tour packages to various destinations, including Jog Falls, Gokarna-Goa, Nanjangud, Bandipur-Ooty, Doddabetta, Shravanabelagola, Belur-Halebidu, Somnathpur, Shivanasamudra and Talakad. KSTDC has made special arrangements for transportation to the tourist spots.
