BENGALURU: The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has won three national public transport awards for 2023-24, given by the Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU).
The awards recognize KSRTC’s efforts in bringing ‘Ashwamedha’ branding and image building, innovative projects for employee welfare, and computerisation initiatives.
The awards were presented in New Delhi by retired IPS officer Dr Kiran Bedi. KSRTC’s Deputy Chief Traffic Manager Gururaj H and Welfare Officer Radha received the awards. Priyanga, Managing Director, North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation, and Suryakiran, Managing Director, were present.
KSRTC has a long history of excellence. It operates a vast network of buses, including ordinary, semi-luxury, deluxe and air-conditioned Volvo buses. The corporation has received numerous awards for its services.
The Association of State Road Transport Undertakings (ASRTU) has 62 member state road transport corporations across the country. The ASRTU was established in 1965 and operates under the guidance of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Government of India.
