KOLAR, KOPPAL: Unidentified miscreants pelted stones at KSRTC buses in Kolar and Koppal during the transport strike on Tuesday, leaving them with damaged windshields. Luckily, no one was injured.
In Kolar, there was skeletal services since morning. As soon as one of the buses entered the bus stand, miscreants hurled stones, which broke a window. The police and divisional traffic controller Srinath visited the bus stand.
Police Superintendent Nikhil B also visited the bus stand and took stock of the situation. Following the incident, police security was increased at the bus stand and private buses were arranged for the benefit of passengers.
Unidentified men also pelted stones at a KSRTC bus which was plying from Kolar to Harati near Harati Cross on Bethamangala road, damaging its windshield. The miscreants fled after throwing two stones at the bus.
In Koppal district, the windshield of a KSRTC bus was damaged near Masabahanchinala village in Kukanoor taluk on Monday night. The bus was on its way from Yelburga to Bengaluru.
