KOLAR: The Andersonpet police shot a criminal in the leg when he attacked a police constable with a machete when a team had gone to arrest him.
Stalin is a wanted criminal with prior charges including murder and assault. He attacked constable Sunil with a machete during his arrest. The Andersonpet police shot him in the leg when he did not heed warnings to surrender. He tried to flee after attacking the police constable.
The injured constable and the accused were taken to KGF Government hospital for treatment. Later, they were shifted to Kolar district hospital for further treatment. KGF Deputy SP Panduranga visited the incident site and a case has been registered.
