MANDYA: Actor ‘Kichcha’ Sudeep immersed the ashes of his mother Saroja in the river Cauvery near Gosai Ghat in Srirangapatna on Tuesday after performing all rituals.
Sudeep had arrived with his family for the ritual and requested the media not to take pictures or videos of him immersing the ashes of his mother. After the rituals, he headed back to Bengaluru.
After arriving at Gosai Ghat, Sudeep first had a dip in the river Cauvery following which Rudrabhisheka, Purusha Sookta, Narayana Sookta, Pancha Sookta and other rituals were performed by Raghavendra Shastri of Kshnambika temple. Sudeep was overcome with emotions when he immersed the ashes of his mother in the river.
