BELAGAVI: A famer had a close encounter with a leopard, but escaped unharmed, at Kallehola village in Khanapur taluk on Sunday night. However, the spotting of the leopard has created anxiety among the villagers.
Farmer Parashuram Patil had gone to his farm holding a torch when he spotted a leopard resting in the grass. Perhaps, it did not attack him due to the light from the torch. Parashuram even shot a short video of the leopard.
However, the incident has created anxiety among the villagers as the leopard was spotted in the vicinity of the village. They have appealed to the Forest Department to relocate the leopard at the earliest.
