Keeping traffic in mind, PM’s roadshow in Bengaluru will now be on May 6 and 7

BENGALURU: The BJP has made changes to the schedule of Prime Minister’s Narendra Modi’s roadshows in Bengaluru over the weekend. Earlier, it was planned to hold the roadshow only on Saturday.

Party leaders Shobha Karandlaje, B L Santhosh, K Annamalai, D V Sadananda Gowda, P C Mohan, Tejasvi Surya and district presidents of Bengaluru North, Central an South units met at Palace Grounds on Thursday to discuss preparations for the roadshow and decided to have it on Saturday (May 6) and Sunday (May 7) as having a roadshow of 36.6 km on a single could throw traffic out of gear in the city.

Now, Modi will hold a roadshow on Saturday morning as scheduled earlier, covering 10.1 km, but the afternoon event stands cancelled. On Sunday, the PM will hold a roadshow covering 26.5 km. Bangalore South MP Tejasvi Surya said about 10 lakh people are expected to line up along thee route where the PM will hold the roadshow on May 6 and 7. “People are excited to see the PM from up close. The BJP will win more than 20 seats in Bengaluru”, he said.
