BENGALURU: Two days after hiking milk and curd prices, the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has quietly raised the prices of its other products from 5 per cent to 15 per cent. It has also increased the price of ghee four times in the last two months.
The revised price of ghee is now Rs 170 for a 200 ml pouch, and the federation is planning to increase the price of 1 kg ghee packets also. The prices of Nandini peda has increased from Rs 220 to Rs 240 per kg, Kodubale from Rs 50 to Rs 60, Rusk from Rs 15 to Rs 29 per 200 grams, Gulab Jamun from Rs 130 to Rs 150 per half kg, flavoured milk from Rs 20 to Rs 25 per 200 ml, Rasagulla from Rs 130 to Rs 150 per 250 grams, Barfi from Rs 129 to Rs 210 per 250 grams, Goodlife milk from Rs 26 to Rs 28 per half litre, Mysorepak from Rs 135 to Rs 160 per 250 grams, Khova from Rs 60 to Rs 90 per 200 grams.
After the federation hiked the price of Nandini milk by Rs 2 per litre, there was speculation that hotels may raise the price of coffee and tea. However, the Bengaluru hotel owners’ association has announced that the prices of the tea, coffee, and food will not be raised.
