BENGALURU: Rishab Shetty, actor and director of the blockbuster movie ‘Kantara’, has been selected for Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival award for ‘The Most Promising Actor’ for his exemplary performance in the movie and the excellent direction.
The award presentation ceremony will be held Taj Lands End hotel in Bandra, Mumbai, on February 20, according to a media release by Abhishekh Mishra, CEO of Dadasaheb Phalke International Film festival committee and advisory panel member of the Central Board of Film Certification, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The award is being presented in association with Incredible India, Ministry of Tourism and Culture, and Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya.
The DPIFF aims to celebrate cinema and work of aspiring, young, independent and professional filmmakers. It endeavours to honour Indian film and television industry and international film fraternity together to bring the stakeholders closer for common good, an official statement said.
