The multilingual posters and teaser of the movie, released in seven languages, notched over 24,000 views within an hour of it being shared on X by the makers Hombale Films and actor-director Rishab Shetty. The teaser talks about a hero being born during the reign of the Kadamba kings and shows a blood-soaked Rishab Shetty standing in a deep cave with a flowing beard and mane.
The entire temple was decorated with flowers by the movie team at a cost of Rs 14 lakh and special prayers were conducted including Mahaganapathi Seva, Trikala Seva and food distribution.
The muhurat was conducted in front of the sanctum sanctorum with Manjunath Kiragandur, the elder brother of producer Vijay Kiragandur, sounding the clap board. ‘Divine Star’ Rishab Shetty, his wife Pragathi Sehtty and son, music composers B Ajaneesh Lokanth and Ravi Basrur were among those present.
Speaking on the occasion, actor-director Rishab Shetty said, “Producer Vijay Kiragandur is a powerhouse and it was because of him that ‘Kantara’ was so widely appreciated. He extended full support and that gave the team huge confidence. We usually have a budget for a movie, but by the time it is completed, the budget would be something else”.
“Kantara Chapter 1 deserves a good story and the producers have extended full suport. We have not made any technical changes, but there will be some new artistes. The scripting of the movie is completed and we plan to start shooting sometime next month”, Rishab Shetty said.
