KALABURAGI: Several photos and video clips of prisoners indicating that they are living a luxurious life inside Kalaburagi Central Jail have gone viral. It is alleged that prisoners can avail amenities like smartphones and ganja (cannabis) in exchange for money.
Three prisoners, Vishal, Sagar and Sonu, accused in various criminal cases, have been found leading a high life inside the jail. Videos show prisoners using smartphones to make video calls to friends, consuming ganja, and posing for selfies inside the jail premises.
The revelations have raised concerns about the liberty of jail inmates and corruption within the jail authorities.
Following Darshan’s royal hospitality case in Parappana Agrahara jail, Darshan’s close aide Nagaraj has been shifted to Kalaburagi jail. Now, questions has been raised whether he is being given royal hospitality in Kalaburagi Central Jail too.
