BENGALURU: The Jigani police have submitted a report to the Union Home Ministry regarding the deportation of 21 illegals, including Pakistani nationals, who were arrested by them. The report includes details of the cases against the arrested individuals, including possession of fake Aadhaar cards, Pakistani passports and residential certificates.
The Jigani police had arrested the 21 Pakistani nationals from the outskirts of Bengaluru and had obtained complete information about them. The report mentions that one of the Pakistani nationals died in prison while the remaining 20 are lodged in the Parappana Agrahara Central Jail.
The police investigation revealed that eight of the arrested individuals were in possession of Pakistani passports, while four had residential certificates from Karachi, Lahore and Sindh province in Pakistan. The certificates were obtained through Pakistani relatives. The remaining individuals did not have any documents, but fake Aadhaar cards and local documents were found with them.
The Jigani police have submitted a report to the Union Home Ministry and have already filed a chargesheet in the case. The court is yet to hear the case further, and the bail petition filed by the Pakistani nationals was dismissed.
The Union government has ordered the deportation of the Pakistani nationals, and the Union Home Ministry has sought more information about the case.
