Nikhil Kumaraswamy stated that the yatra aims to uncover the truth behind the conspiracy against Dharmasthala and to provide moral support to the temple authorities. He emphasized that the yatra is not driven by politics but rather a desire to protect the temple’s sanctity.

Nikhil Kumaraswamy said, “We have come out in support of Lord Manjunatha and Annappa Swamy. A conspiracy has been going on against Dharmasthala for several days. We will seek blessings from the deities and offer moral support. People’s representatives in high positions have spoken about this. Doubts and suspicions have been expressed about the allegations. So far, the truth has not come out. Anti-social forces are plotting against Dharmasthala. The truth about all this needs to be brought out before the society through an investigation. We all have some responsibility. We have to protect our religion; it is everyone’s responsibility. This yatra is not about politics but about protecting our faith. There is an organised conspiracy that raises suspicion around the premises of Dharmasthala. There is no question of political interference in this.”

He said that today, regardless of party affiliation, countless devotees are coming from various places across the country to see the revered deities Manjunathaswamy and Annappa Swamy.

He demanded that the case be handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to unravel the truth behind the alleged conspiracy. “There is a big organization behind this, and it has international funding. The NIA should take over the investigation,” he said.

“The temple authorities have allocated their entire day to them today. Despite being greatly perturbed by this incident, they have shown immense patience and broad-mindedness”, he noted.

Nikhil further said, “Today, we are extending our moral support to the temple authorities. Anti-social elements have interfered with this episode, and it needs to reach a logical conclusion. We demand that the NIA take over the investigation. Some YouTube channels are being encouraged, and there’s a large-scale organization behind this with international funding. Therefore, the NIA should take up the investigation, Nikhil Kumaraswamy emphasized.”

The yatra has seen participation from several JDS leaders, including MLAs A. Manju, H.P. Swaroop Prakash, Harish Gowda, C.N. Balakrishna, Karemma, M.T. Krishnappa, Suresh Babu, former MLAs, and MLCs.
