BENGALURU: The JD(S) launched an attack on the government, particularly targeting Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar, after the Bigg Boss show was shut down by the government.
The JD(S) taunted DK Shivakumar as ‘nut bolt minister,’ recalling his earlier statement of tightening the nuts and bolts of the film industry and said that he took revenge on the artists by shutting down the Bigg Boss reality show being shot in Bengaluru South district.
On X, JD(S) posed a series of questions to the government, asking when it would address issues such as potholes in Bengaluru, farmers’ suicides and the alleged 60 per cent commission scam.

The party further asked when the government would put an end to the alleged looting of the state’s finances through taxes and price hikes. The JD(S) accused the Congress government of being corrupt and unable to govern the state effectively.
Some of the specific questions raised include:
- When will you fix the potholes in Bengaluru?
- When will you stop the 60% commission scam?
- When will you put an end to farmers’ suicides?
- When will you stop the alleged looting of the state’s finances?

Reacting to the JD(S) charges on the crackdown on the Bigg Boss Kannada studio, Deputy CM D K Shivakumar said, “Kumarswamy and JD(S) are doing only politics. I am least bothered about their comments. They can’t sleep without taking my name. I inquired about the incident, which was done through KSPCB. I have sent officials to conduct an inspection. We must safeguard the interests of the entertainment industry. I personally called the DC and SP and guided them to take action through law. I have asked them to give them an opportunity. I also contacted the chairman of the pollution control board. Private investors might go wrong, but the entertainment industry should not suffer. This is my order to them”.
