Along with this, a special exhibition has been organised at the JD(S) office. The exhibition showcases party patriarch H D Deve Gowda’s life, politics, achievements, the journey of JD(S) and Kumaraswamy’s contributions.

Addressing party workers and leaders at the silver jubilee ceremony, Union minister H D Kumaraswamy said that looking at the political developments happening in the state today, in the coming days, some developments that no one would expect will occur. He said that a situation has been created in the state where it is impossible to say who will take what sort of decisions in politics. He said that unexpected and explosive developments will happen in state politics.

The Union minister further said that the state’s debt has crossed Rs 7.50 lakh crore. “Siddaramaiah, as Chief Minister, has taken a loan of Rs 5-5.50 lakh crore. Why did they take on so much debt? For what purpose was it taken?”. he questioned.

He demanded that the people be given an answer. “What injustice have we done to this state? What injustice has Deve Gowda done? Why haven’t we received full blessings? No community has been wronged by JD(S) party. People from other states remember Deve Gowda. Why do the people of our state not have such feelings?” the minister expressed great disappointment at the event.

“The state Congress government is looting under the guise of guarantees. How much more robbery will you do? How many taxes have you raised? How many crops have you increased?” he remarked.

Former Prime Minister Deve Gowda, who spoke at the ceremony, said “We are with the NDA, we have trust in Modi’s leadership. Under his leadership there is a strong government. No one among our workers and leaders should forget this. When Emergency was imposed, we worked together with Jayaprakash Narayan who led the second freedom struggle, and the then BJP. Therefore, we must work together for the nation’s well‑being”. He thundered that people must teach the Congress party a lesson for bad governance.
