Jayadeva hospital sees rush of patients at OPD

BENGALURU: The number of heart attack cases in the state is increasing, with a growing number of patients visiting the Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Research Outpatient Department (OPD). Patients from various districts are arriving as early as 5 am to wait for treatment, but the token system is causing variations.

Patients are demanding that the OPD counter be kept open for 24 hours due to the increasing number of people. With the rising number of patients visiting Jayadeva Hospital, there is a strong demand to open an additional OPD counter.

The hospital is witnessing a huge crowd lined up before the OPD counter to get tokens. Citizens are urging the government and the Medical Education Department to respond to these demands and improve healthcare services at Jayadeva Hospital.

Ramesh, a visitor, from JP Nagar, requested that the open 24/7 OPD services here. It would be very helpful to get treatment. Another individual named Basavaraju from Hassan said, “People are waiting in a long queue to get tokens. The management of the hospital should pay attention immediately. The situation is getting worse every day. Some people have been waiting since night.”
