KOPPAL: With a CBI court sentencing disqualified Gangavathi MLA G Janardhana Reddy to jail term in the Obulapuram mining case, his wife Aruna Lakshmi has been visiting temples and conducting pujas for his bail.
Aruna Lakshmi is on a temple run, visiting the Mookambika temple in Kollur, Kukke Subrahmanya temple, the Brahmalingeshwara temple, Sri Krishna temple at Udupi among others and conducting various rituals over the last one week.
After he was convicted in the mining case, Janardhana Reddy was disqualified as MLA. His lawyers have been making attempts to secure bail for him and to get a stay CBI court order in the hope that he gets to retain his MLA seat.
