BENGALURU: It is almost a week since actor Darshan was lodged in the Parappana Agrahara central jail. He has apparently expressed his desire to meet his mother and his brother and requested the jail authorities.
Darshan’s wife Vijayalakshmi and son Vinish have already met him, and he also appealed to the officials not to allow anyone else.
Darsha also requested his fans not visit jail. Relatives are allowed to meet prisoners at the jail only twice a week. According to prison rules, fans cannot meet him and hence, he has asked that no one should come to the jail. He doesn’t want fans waiting outside the jail for for a chance to meet him and then returning disappointed.
Darshan expressed sadness about a specially abled woman who is an ardent fan of his. Sowmya came to jail to meet him with her parents in an autorickshaw gifted by the actor. She requested the jail authorities many times to meet Darshan and even skipped food.
After almost a week in jail, Darshan slept well on Thursday night after having ragi ball, rice, sambar, chapati and buttermilk and woke up around 6 am on Friday. He drank hot water as usual, and then walked around the cell for a while.
