BENGALURU: A jail warder at the Parappana Agrahara central jail has been arrested for supplying narcotic substances to the jail inmates. The arrested was identified as Kallappa H Abachi.
The Parappana Agrahara police, who arrested Kallappa, also seized 100 gm of hashish oil from him. Kallappa, who was on night shift, had stuck the narcotic substance to his uniform pockets with cellotape.
The police are investigation where Kallappa procured the drugs from and to whom he was selling it to. A former defence personnel, Kallappa and joined the Department of Prisons and Correctional Sevices in 2008. He was posted at Parappana Agrahara prison only a few months ago.
On September 7, when Kallappa was reporting for night duty, he was checked by KSISF personnel at the gates when they found tobacco and hashish oil in his pocket. He was later handed over to the police.
