CHIKKAMAGALURU: Income‑Tax Department officials raided Life Line Feeds (India) Pvt Ltd, a private company, based in Chikkamagaluru, on the charges of tax evasion.
The officers carried out raids on the company owner Kishore Kumar Hegde’s residence, his office on Ratnagiri Road in the city, and the farmhouse. In the presence of the company’s owner, officials scrutinized documents. More than 40 officials arrived in over 12 vehicles and took part in the raid.
The operation was conducted without informing the police department. Life Line Feeds (India) Pvt Ltd exports chicken to domestic and foreign markets.
