Initially, the elephant had blocked the road. Perturbed by vehicles noise, it pulled down a tree.

HASSAN: A wild elephant blocked a road by bringing down a tree after vehicle users created noise, thereby blocking traffic. The incident occurred on the Hettur-Karadigala road in Sakleshpur taluk on Thursday night.

The elephant was initially standing on the road, blocking traffic. It got perturbed by the honking of vehicles and pulled down a roadside tree, blocking the road. Motorists were forced to wait for some time due to this.

After the Forest Department was informed, a team of the Elephant Task Force (ETF) arrived on the scene and cleared the tree. But the elephant remained standing closeby. Much later, the elephant went into the forest.

The Forest Department staff cautioned the residents of Hettur, Karadigala and surrounding villages to remain vigilant.
