HUBBALLI: A group of young women, believed to be intoxicated, created a ruckus in front of a pub on Gokul Road here late on Thursday night. They even tried to attack a woman bouncer.
The women, along with their male friends, had visited the Ice Cube pub where they allegedly created a scene. They were promptly removed from the pub by a woman bouncer, but they tried to assault her as well.
Amidst the ruckus, the women were bundled into a car by their male companions. The Gokul Road police station is just an earshot away, but no policemen arrived at the scene, locals said.
Many pointed out that the pub stays open beyond stipulated hours, but the police turn a blind eye. Such incidents have been recurring, disturbing law and order in the city, they said and demanded that the police take measures to curb such behaviour.
