Inter-state drug peddler held for delivering ganja via food delivery app

BENGALURU: The city police on Tuesday arrested an inter-state drug peddler who was delivering drugs to customers through food delivery apps.

Acting on a tip-off, the DJ Halli police arrested Asif and seized 9.5 kg kg of ganja worth Rs 5.50 lakh. The operation was led by Inspector Prakash. During interrogation, police found that after receiving the money through online transactions, ganja was delivered to the exact location.

The Central Crime Branch is now investigating drugs being supplied online and digging up information from peddlers.
