In this Tumakuru village, people forced to visit postman’s house to collect mail

TUMAKURU: While a postman is normally expected to deliver mails to addressees and offer other services, residents of Mallekavu village in Koratagere taluk are forced to go to the postman’s house to collect their mail.

Hundreds of mails have piled up in the post office since to wmonths in Mallekavu post office.

The villagers claimed that over the last two months, postman Nagendra has not delivered a single mail to anyone and alleged that he is an alcoholic. Villagers are facing problems after they are not getting any mails, even in case of emergencies.

Hundreds of mails have been piling up in the Mallekavu post office and have not been delivered in the past two months. If the villagers want any urgent postal service, they have to go to Nagendra’s house. Villagers have complained about the issue to the Postal Department and sought action against him.
