BENGALURU: In a dramatic incident, a man tried to overpower two chain snatchers just as they were trying to escape after snatching the gold chain of an aged woman in Banaswadi police limits on early in the morning on April 18. However, the chain snatchers fled the scene, leaving behind the motorcycle, even as the unidentified man gave them a chase.
In CCTV footage that is available, a duo is seen on a motorcycle approach a crossroad where an aged woman is seen walking. The pillion rider gets off the motorcycle and follows the woman even as the rider waits at the street corner with the engine running.
Suddenly, a man is seen darting from one of the house and push the motorcycle rider to the ground even as the pillion rider returns after snatching the woman’s chain. The chain snatchers abandon their motorcyle and flee from the spot even as the man gives them a chase.
The Banaswadi police have taken up further investigation.
