IAF Wing Commander brutally attacked by two-wheeler rider in Bengaluru in road rage incident

BENGALURU: A Wing Commander of the Indian Air Force (IAF), who was on his way to the Kempegowda International Airport early on Monday morning, was brutally attacked by a two-wheeler rider in a road rage incident. The victim Shiladitya Bose was later treated at a hospital.

In self-made videos, the wing commander, who is a resident of DRDO complex, CV Raman Nagar, said he was being dropped to the airport by his wife, Squadron Leader Madhumita, in the morning as he was taking a flight to Kolkata where his father was to undergo a surgery. A two-wheeler rider waylaid them near Gopalan Grand Mall near CV Raman Nagar and abused him in Kannada. The two-wheeler rider allegedly attacked the wing commander with a key and also with a stone.

The officer shared two videos online, one with a bloodied face and another after availing medical help. Expressing concern for the safety of his family, he hoped that the authorities will take appropriate legal action. He also claimed to have the vehicle number of the attacker and dashcam footage. He also said he had lost a phone and keys during the altercation.
