Hyder murder case: Gang killed him a year after striking compromise

BENGALURU: In a significant revelation in the murder case of Congress leader Hyder Ali, it has come to light that the accused had called Hyder Ali for a compromise and gained his trust before attacking him.

The accused Abbas, Naz and victim Hyder Ali had promised on a religious holy book, saying there should be no enmity, and had even shared a meal with Hyder wherein Hyder himself had fed Abbas. A compromise was struck between the three during the previous Ramzan month. However, it has now come to light that they had planned and executed his murder.

Several pieces of explosive information are coming out during the interrogation of the arrested accused. The police are said to have found some evidence that four of the accused, who were externed from Shivamogga, were summoned and given a supari to kill him.

Of the seven arrested accused, four of them, including Mateen and Saddam, are from Shivamogga, and cases have been registered against them in different police stations in Shivamogga. The accused were externed from Shivamogga because they were involved in criminal activities.

Earlier, the accused had attacked Haider Ali’s close aide. At that time, Haider had warned them. Therefore, the accused had enmity with Hyder. It is learnt that the main accused in the case, Naz Pasha, who knew about this issue, used the accused to execute the hit job.

Naz and Hyder Ali had been rivals for decades. The police have found evidence that Hyder planned to kill Naz, but the latter’s henchmen murdered him instead.
