Hoysala squad caught on camera collecting money from Malleswaram traders, vendors

BENGALURU: A Hoysala police squad was caught on camera while allegedly collecting weekly bribes from street vendors and traders in Malleswaram. A video of Hoysala squad car has now gone viral on social media.

The patrol squad allegedly collects money from panipuri stalls, hotels, bars, clothing stores and shoe stores every day during night patrolling have been exposed through photos and videos on social media. An exclusive video has been tweeted to the City Commissioner from an account named ‘Exclusive Maga’.

In the post, the person alleged that the Hoysala police (vehicle registration number KA02G4721) are collecting bribes from shops and street vendors after parking their vehicle in Malleswaram without any hesitation.

After the video went viral, the Bengaluru City Police responded saying, “We have informed concerned senior police officers for necessary action”.
