HAVERI: A massive explosion occurred at a house in Hirebasooru village of Hangal taluk on Wednesday where a cache of explosives, used for hunting wild boars, was stored in a loft, caught fire causing significant damage to the roof.
The incident occurred at the residence of one Shashidhar Hosamani, who had illegally stored the explosives. The blast was so powerful that it shattered the roof of his house and nearby residents were shocked by the loud noise.
The Adoor police have filed the case and arrested Kumar Hosamani and Shashidhar Hosamani.
