House collapses due to incessant rainfall in KR Pet village

MANDYA: A house collapsed due to heavy rainfall at Channenahalli village in KR Pet taluk on Saturday night. The house belonged to Parvathamma.

The continuous rainfall over the past four days had weakened the foundation of Parvathamma’s house, causing it to collapse on Saturday night. Fortunately, Parvathamma narrowly escaped death.

However, the collapse resulted in significant damage to household items. The villagers are now demanding compensation and assistance for Parvathamma.
