CHIKKAMAGALURU: The famous Annapoorneshwari temple at Horanadu has made a donation of Rs 10 lakh to the Indian Army in the fight against Pakistani terrorists.
The donation was made to Union Minister Gajendra Singh by the temple’s trustees. The donation was made during the unveiling ceremony of the 5th trustee’s bronze idol and temple trustee Bhimeshwar Joshi handed over the cheque during the programme.
The tensions between India and Pakistan have escalated with both countries exchanging fire and attacks. On Thursday night, India launched missile strikes on Pakistan, which retaliated, but was thwarted by the Indian Army. The Indian Army has intensified its Operation Sindoor, targeting terrorist hideouts in Pakistan.
Despite this, Pakistan has continued to launch drone attacks on Indian territories, including Jammu and Rajasthan. However, the Indian Army has successfully foiled over 50 drone attacks. Pakistan had planned to target 15 cities, including Srinagar, Jammu and Amritsar, but the Indian Army has thwarted all these attempts.
On May 7, the Indian Army conducted Operation Sindoor, targeting nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoJK) and destroying them. In retaliation, Pakistan attacked innocent civilians in Jammu, killing 16 people.
