BENGALURU: A home-alone was brutally murdered by suffocating her at her house in Ambabhavani Nagar under Vidyaranyapura police limits on Thursday night.
The victim was identified as Prasannakumari (60), who had retired as teacher from the Government School at Chintamani. She originally hailed from Vijayawada and was living alone ever since her husband died. The couple had no children.
The attackers have made away with valuables from the house. It is suspected that the murder was carried out by two people over some property dispute. Prasannakumari is learnt to have properties in Devanahalli, Kanakapura Road and other places. She planned to give it to some orphanage. It is suspected that the murder was carried out to prevent any such move.
The Vidyaranyapura police are going through CCTV footage to identify the attackers.
