BENGALURU: The Head of Department (HOD) at a private college in Bengaluru has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a 19-year-old undergraduate student at his residence.
Prof Sanjeev Kumar Mandal has been arrested on charges of sexually assaulting a student and making her believe she would get extra marks.
The incident occurred on September 25 when the professor invited the student for lunch along with his family. However, upon arrival, he revealed that no one was at home.
A case has been registered at Tilak Nagar police station for sexual assault.
