History-sheeter arrested for murder attempt on fish trader on day of Suhas Shetty killing

MANGALURU: A history-sheeter has been arrested for attempting a revenge killing on the night Hindu activist Suhas Shetty was murdered in Mangaluru. The arrested accused is Kodikere Lokesh.

According to the Kavur police, Lokesh and his gang chased Lukman, a fish seller, near Kuntikana and attempted to kill him by stabbing him and smashing his head with boulders. However, Lukman raised an alarm forcing the gang to flee.

Lukman is a resident of Ullal and is into fish trade. Lokesh and his gang had arrived in a MUV and chased him with an intention to eliminate him, police said.
